Well it was another close one that our defense definitely kept us in, but who knew we'd be playing the refs this time too? From a BS interference call leading to SD's only touchdown, a phantom hold calling back Fast Willie's 5 yard scamper for a TD, and the most bizarre thing I have ever seen at the end of the game, negating a fumble return by Troy for a TD.

All of this and we still managed to come out on top, even if only by 1 point. Ben looked pretty good this game throwing for over 300 yards and not ints, though he did manage to get sacked a few times by a team that hadn't registered a sack in the past two games. Seems like all an ailing defense needs to do to get their sack numbers up is swing on by the burgh and take in a game. That being said he performed well and didn't seem to show any signs of rust. Mabye Big Ben is on the mend.

Continue reading "Steelers Hang on to Beat the Chargers"

For being the odds on favorite, Brock wasn't really given any love last night. It ended up being a great fight, as Randy tried to work his favorite game plan: Putting his opponent against the fense. However in this case, Lesnar might have proven too big and strong for Randy to work this angle. shortly into the 2nd round Lesnar came hard with a right to the side of Randy's head sending him to the canvas. Lesnar pounced and pounded on Randy for what seemed like an eternity before the ref callded the fight.

Regardless of what I have read a lot of others saying. Lesnar earned that victory he took down the champ and now holds the belt. I do agree that I think his title shot was a little pre-mature only have 3 MMA fights and being 1-1 in the UFC seems a bit soon, but the guy is HUGE FAST and electrifying. I think he iwll be a good champ and tough to dethrone. He is strong as hell but moves like lightning and if he gets tired he can probably just lay on a guy for five rounds. I'd like to see a Gonzaga Lesnar fight next maybe.

Continue reading "A Great Night of Fifghts UFC91"
