r absence has exposed the Boston bench and forced Rivers to rely more on Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett, who is beginning to show signs of fatigue.

Garnett may not admit it, but he's not the same player. The effort and the intensity is still there but KG's offense has fallen dramatically and his rebounding has become just average. KG still wants to push forward, but his gas tank is running close to empty.

Newspapers and local radio hosts hyped Tracy McGrady as the new Kevin Garnett in terms of having some success in the league, but never being able to get a ring. All of that led to Tuesday's nights game matching the Houston Rockets against the Defending World Champions, Boston Celtics.

Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett will have their hands full this season as many teams have improved their line-ups.

In the Eastern Conference, there are a couple of teams that made upgrades in their rosters and these changes will greatly affect the whole conference itself. The former rankings of the teams in the East will have a slight change due to the trades made in the off-season.

tty sure that basketball would still be part of my life until my last dying moment on this earth.

Kevin Garnett has been my idol eversince and I believe that he is the complete player. He could lead a team, establish defense and impose himself offensively if he wants to.
