Coming off a super bowl victory last season, hopes couldn't be higher for the 2009 Pittsburgh Steelers, as they should be. While the team is returning 20 out of 22 starters from that super bowl run (only losing Larry Foote and Bryant Mcfadden), things begin to look bleak as we look at the possible roster a year from now. In 2010, the Steelers will have an alarming number of key players that will be free agents if these players do not re-sign.

So let me get this straight. The Redskins sign Albert Haynesworth to an outrageous 100 million dollar deal. Then they go out and resign Free Agent DeAngelo Hall, and then release DE Jason Taylor. And why, because he didn't want to spend his off season sitting at the Redskins stadium. Why should he spend eight of his thirteen weeks off working? I don't know. But the Skins sure thought he should. The man has three kids and a wife in Florida. As a professional football player I'm sure he doesn't get a lot of time with his family any ways. I just would've thought Jason Taylor would be an asset to that team. He'll find a new home with out a problem though I'm sure.

So free agency just started and already it's going crazy. I heard that they are even talking about a non-capped year in 2010. But I guess, with the economy being as bad as it is, even owners might have trouble coming up with enough money to shell out to these athletes. Who, in my opinion, should just be glad that they get to play. I can barely find a job, these guys complain about not getting enough millions!!!
