           Wildcard weekend had an interesting lineup of games this year.  All four road teams (wildcard teams) were favored to win over the home teams (division winners).  That’s unusual, but this year it actually makes a lot of sense.  Many of the wildcard teams had better records than the division winners.  In the end, the underdogs won two of the four games (both 6th seeds defeated the 3rd seeded teams).

                This blog entry was inspired by Plaxico Burress, who was fined today by the Giants for his insubordination to say the very least and I don’t want to go on about diva players. They get too much publicity as it is. This goes a lot deeper to the meaning of being a PROFESSIONAL football player.

ESPN has ranked the fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers as #1 in the nation, just ahead of the fans in Green Bay.

To me, this is no surprise.  Many times over the years, I've heard fans of other football teams talk about the black-and-gold invasion of their stadiums when the Steelers came to town.  Through the best and worst of times both, Steelers fans have always displayed fanatical loyalty to their team, no matter where the boys were playing.  It's a Steelers tradition, something the unfortunate Pirates can't likewise claim.
