Well the 2009 Draft has come and gone. Although it didn't go the way many expected I think the Steelers still had a good draft. Mizzou DT Ziggy Hood was the Steelers first pick and he will be a solid force up the middle for many years. He more than likely won't start this year but that'll give him time to develop.
They also picked up OL Kraig Urbick from Wisconsin, WR Michael Wallace from Mississippi, Keenan Lewis CB Oregon St., Joe Burnett, UNLV RB Frank "The Tank" Summers, one of my Ducks... DT Sonny Harris, Pittsburgh native Penn State C A.Q. Shipley, and wrapped up by drafting Arkansas St. TE David Johnson.
Look for Wallace and Burnett to compete for special teams duties. Both were good return specialists in college and should suceed there at the NFL level. Also Wallace andLewis, childhood friends, are reunited after attending seperate colleges. They both originally sign on with Oregon St. but Wallace jumped ship after their H.S. coach became an assistant at Mississippi.

I don't know about you guys, but with only 6 days left until the biggest event of the offseason and I can hardly wait. This is the time of year we get to see some new faces added to the roster and see who the future stars of the Steelers are going to be. The Steelers rarely add players through free agency, as evidenced by this offseason, and this is the payoff for fans who've been waiting all offseason for news on the Steelers.

Maybe Terrel will finally figure out how special he is not!!! Yes he puts up good stats but the Cowboys actually had a shot there for a minute. They tried to shrug off the drama in the locker room like it wasn't going to affect the way they played the game. Obviously it did. I mean how can an organization such as the cowboys, and let's face it, they are all about the aspects of Pro-football that most people hate, but, how can they focus on the playoffs when you're worried about Jessica Simpson, T.O., the cheerleaders little TV show and Jerry Jone's ego. It's a messed up crew down there right now and I think that they made the right decision for now. I believe they have a lot of work left to do though. Romo is good and I think he has the capability of taking "a" team to the playoffs, at least. But we'll just have to wait and see what they do down there. It's unlike the cowboys to go into a season without a big play wide receiver. So I wonder who they think they are going to get. We can only wait and see as the Dallas Drama unfolds once again.

So let me get this straight. The Redskins sign Albert Haynesworth to an outrageous 100 million dollar deal. Then they go out and resign Free Agent DeAngelo Hall, and then release DE Jason Taylor. And why, because he didn't want to spend his off season sitting at the Redskins stadium. Why should he spend eight of his thirteen weeks off working? I don't know. But the Skins sure thought he should. The man has three kids and a wife in Florida. As a professional football player I'm sure he doesn't get a lot of time with his family any ways. I just would've thought Jason Taylor would be an asset to that team. He'll find a new home with out a problem though I'm sure.
And Jay cutler, what can I say besides what a little baby. McDaniels thought about trading him and now Cutler won't even answer his phone. Boo-hoo. Get over it. I think McDaniels should be upset. He could have got a deal if he would've got Cassel. There is no reason for McDaniels to have faith in a little whiny baby who throws fits on and off the field. How is a team supposed to be led by someone like that. And all this comes at the same time as Brandon Marshal getting arrested for the fourth time in three years. Yeah the charges were dropped but still, he's a pro-bowl wide receiver but how much can an organization put up with before you just have to move on. If you want to be a professional football player I think you should probably learn to be more of a role model. Not always fighting with your girlfriends in public and getting arrested. Brandon Marshal missed last years opener for the same reason. Now it looks like a repeat, but this time his punishment will be more severe and the Broncos need Marshal. They are going to need whatever help they can get after last years horribly disappointing season. And as For Jay Cutler. I hear that the Lions are looking for a Quarterbach kc

Six time All-pro LB James Harrison turned down the third offer made by Pittsburgh today. Harrison signed with Pitt. in April 2006 to a four year 5.5 million dollar deal that ends at the end of the 2009 season. Obviously the Steelers would much rather keep Harrison than watch him lead some one else's defense through the playoffs and into the Superbowl like he did this year. He was absolutely unforgiving with his 59 tackles, 16 sacks, 7 forced fumbles and 1 record breaking interception. LEGIONDARY!!! Thank you James Harrison for the awesome year of football, hope to see you in black & gold in 2010.
No more Nate Washington in Pittsburgh. After 1,705 receiving yards, 12 touchdowns, and 104 catches in his three seasons with the Steelers. Nate Washington decided to sign a 6 year 27 million dollar deal with AFC rival Tennessee. Washington probably didn't want to stay number three man in Pittsburgh behind Ward and Holmes. So good luck to him.
