Steelers fantasy football! Week 2! posted on 09/12/2008
From Ben to Willie, the two main MUST STARTS this week.
From the moment the off-season started, many "experts" picked the Cleveland Browns to win the AFC North for the first time ever. Last season was the first time the Browns had a wining season since the year they joined the AFC North in 2002. The Browns went 9-7 only to lose in the playoffs against the Steelers.
In the off-season the Browns made some big moves picking up wide receiver Dante’ Stallworth and some key defensive players like Sean Rogers. Yet I still didn’t believe they had the defensive skill players to take the division. They proved they still had work to do by giving up 320 passing yards (One TD) and 167 rushing yards (3 TDs) in week one against the Dallas Cowboys. Strangely enough, those numbers look similar to what kind of numbers the Steelers put up in week one against the Texans. Ben Roethlisberger didn’t throw for 320 yards, but he did pass for 137 yards and 2 touchdowns. Ben will have no problems finding holes in one of the worst defenses in the NFL. Play Big Ben in this one, I expect 200 yards and 2 touchdowns at least from the big guy who has never lost a professional game in Ohio. In his career against the Browns, Roethlisberger has an average of 218.1 yards a game, an average of 1.6 touchdowns a game, and less then 1 interception a game. He has also run it in 3 times out of the 7 matches. So who knows, he may even sneak in a rushing Touchdown as well like he did last year. Bottom line… Start Ben, he will produce big numbers.
