Doug Marrone, New coach for Syracuse Orange Football. How will this season go?
Doug Marrone was hired by the Syracuse Orange to replace Greg Robinson who basically didn't take the Orange anywhere but down. Doug Marrone was the New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator since 2006. So, he's been in the game a while. Also, he did play college football for Syracuse under a great coach, recently enrolled Hall of Famer, Dick MacPherson. Doug Marrone has brought back many SU traditions that have been around a long time that Greg Robinson had stopped doing. Most people say Doug Marrone is going to bring Syracuse football back after being 'G-robbed'. Syracuse has an excellent group of football players. When deciding the Quarterback position, Andrew Robinson was the 2nd string QB but Greg Robinson had started him for a while. Doug Marrone is now starting a freshman and mentioned that he took Andrew Robinson out from the position completely because he couldn't even throw a spiral. That makes people wonder what else Greg Robinson had going on in his mind. Being a Syracuse fan I have to say Doug Marrone should bring in more W's than Greg Robinson did. Greg Robinson did have some good wins but they were also out of the blue. It's strange how things happen like that with no reason and make us wonder.
